DRAMA
The College of Creative Arts & Technology prepares talented people with a passion for the dramatic arts for careers as performers in the entertainment industry.
CCAT offers Drama students tuition in movement, vocal training, communication skills preparing them to enter into either theatre or film. The Drama student is encouraged at all times to develop themselves as an individual and to develop their own individual style and technique.
Working closely with students in the other disciplines, Drama students will undertake regular theatrical performances in the CCAT theatre, which is centrally located in the Hawthorn campus.
This theatre is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system and lighting system, a fully isolated studio for the orchestra, a surround sound control room to record performances and HD cameras to capture performances onto digital film.
Drama students also have the opportunity to work with students from the Film and Television Production and the Audio Engineering programs on short films commercials and even feature films.
These networking opportunities are the key to the success of CCAT graduates who establish professional relationships while undertaking studies with CCAT that carry those relationships on into the industry and thus establish their careers.
Graduates of the Drama program also have the opportunity to take advantage of the multiple pathways into the proposed education programs at CCAT. These programs will qualify them to undertake employment in drama education at either a secondary or tertiary level. |
